Kate Muehlemann Cataldo (she/they)
Artist & End of Life Doula
Kate Muehlemann Cataldo is an Artist and Doula for those experiencing serious illness and end of life. In her former 20-year career as a nurse she worked in various settings from Intensive Care Unit to Home Hospice. After a car accident in 2010, Kate experienced the healthcare system from a patient's perspective, dealing with with years of disability, chronic pain, and fatigue. Witnessing disparities in healthcare and personal experience inform her interest in care models outside of the healthcare system such as doula support, herbalism, and community care.
