The GoFundMe campaigns below are especially important to me to support during this time. Each has lost their home and most or all they own, and they are all members of the arts organization, Side Street Projects, that has enabled and deeply supported my work with queer elders and youth on The Constellations Project. If you're looking for a way to help - you'd be offering meaningful support in the lives of people whose impact is widespread in the Los Angeles/Altadena area.
If you can’t contribute monetarily, sharing campaigns with your networks (especially the lesser funded ones) will also help immensely. All below are people I know, care about, and have cared for me in big and small ways. I can’t help but notice that the common thread of the folks below is how invested they are in people, community, and connection and how their individual well being actually means so much for so many.
